A few things can affect Pretty Links’ ability to record clicks. If clicks are not being recorded properly, consider the following.
- Make sure you haven’t blacklisted your IP address in the Options.
- Your clicks database may have grown too large and is causing timeouts. If so, trimming clicks (see Click Tracking Modes) may correct the issue. If that does not work, trim all hits, then switch your tracking method to Simple mode, then back to Normal or Extended (whichever you were using).
- Caching can cause errors in link reporting, so clear your cache frequently, especially if clicks are not recording correctly. If you use a prefix directory on your links like
/go/or/out/, you can exclude those prefixes from caching.
If you have tried all of the above and still have no luck with tracking, please send us a support ticket.
