Clicks are not being recorded
There are a couple of things that can negatively effect Pretty Links's ability to record your clicks. If you are finding that clicks aren't being recorded properly, consider the following when troubleshooting.
- Make sure you haven't blacklisted your IP address in the Options.
- It's possible your clicks database has grown too large and is causing time-outs. If this is the case, then trimming some clicks may correct the issue. If that does not work, then you can try trimming all hits, then changing your tracking method to “simple” mode, then back to “normal” or “extended” (whichever you were using).
- Lastly, caching can cause errors in your reporting of links, so be sure to clear your cache frequently, espcially if you are noticing that your clicks aren't being recorded correctly. If you're using a prefix directory on your links like /go/ or /out/ then you can exclude anything with those prefix's from your caching.
If you have tried all of the above things, but are still having no luck with tracking, please send us a support ticket.
