HostGator Activation Issues

We are aware of an issue with HostGator customers not being able to activate Pretty Links due to a hosting level security block on outbound xmlrpc requests. We are working to resolve this issue, but in the meantime if you are a HostGator customer currently affected by this, please deactivate and delete your currently installed version of Pretty Links first.

Then install our 2.0.0 Edge release which works around this issue. You can download the latest 2.0.0 Edge release directly from your account page at https://prettylinks.com/account/

After downloading, you can install the plugin quickly following these instructions:

1. Head to your Dashboard
2. Next visit the Plugins -> Add New page
3. Then Click on “Upload Plugin” and select the 2.0.0 .zip file you downloaded from your account page
4. Upload the file and click Activate
5. Last, head to Pretty Links -> Activate and enter your 2.0.0 license key which is listed on your account page as well
